Editorial Policy

This page explains how content on armyheightweightcalculator.com is researched, drafted, checked, corrected, and kept current — including what this site does and does not claim about review.

Research

Every page begins with primary Army sources: Army Directive 2026-13, AR 600-9, the ALARACT messages, army.mil announcements, and the armyresilience.army.mil ABCP pages. What each source supports — and how far its verification actually goes — is recorded on the Sources page. Competitor websites are reviewed only to identify the questions users are asking; they are never the source for a regulation claim.

Drafting

Drafts are written in plain English. Formulas are quoted verbatim from their cited source, and every calculator page shows its formula openly. Worked examples are independently checked against the live calculator output before publication — the Methodology page keeps the verification log with dates and methods, and marks honestly that the checking was automated, not human-expert.

AI assistance

Some drafting, research organization, and code generation on this site is AI-assisted. The owner reviews every published page before it goes live, and no page is published AI-only. Where a fact could not be verified — for example, several directive-dependent numbers — the page says “being verified” rather than presenting an unverified claim as fact. This site does not use AI to fabricate credentials, test results, review dates, or official-sounding endorsements.

Expert review

The site does not currently have a qualified military or medical reviewer on staff. No page on this site should be read as expert-reviewed. If a suitably qualified reviewer is engaged in the future, this section will be updated with their name, credentials, and the exact scope of what they reviewed — until then, there is nothing to disclose, and we will not invent it.

Corrections

If you find a calculation error, a broken regulation link, an outdated citation, or a confusing explanation, tell us via the Report an Error page. Every report is logged. When a report changes a published page, the change is recorded with its date and rationale on the Research and Updates log (planned for a later phase), so the site’s correction history stays public.

Update cadence

  • Army sources (directives, regulations, ALARACTs, army.mil pages): re-checked every 90 days.
  • Every page: major review every 6 months.
  • Out-of-cycle: immediately when a regulation changes, when a source document is newly verified, or when a user reports a discrepancy.

The cadence reflects what the site will actually do — it is a commitment, not a decoration. When a re-check happens, the affected page’s verification notes are updated the same day.
