Inches to cm Converter
Body-composition measurement is unit-sensitive: the current WHtR standard is unit-neutral (any ratio works), but the legacy tape formulas in AR 600-9 Appendix B require inches, and metric tape measures read centimeters. This converter uses the exact international factor — 1 inch = 2.54 cm, by definition — in both directions.
The formula
inches → cm: cm = inches × 2.54 cm → inches: inches = cm ÷ 2.54
Worked examples
- 36 in → 91.44 cm
- 70 in → 177.8 cm
- 100 cm → 39.37 in (reverse direction)
